ROL is an electronic music duo by Xico Ribas and Bea Álvarez exploring the composition of intimate ambient songs through maximalist resources.
By sustaining each other’s fragility, they create spaces where memory and pure emotion are welcomed, carrying them toward a conscious yet unattainable horizon: an emerging abstract being, newly born from the two simpler entities.
They call this being EXTRAÑO AUN .
Starting from sound as a primary language and form of expression —rather than from any predefined structure or narrative— each performance unfolds as a process instead of a reproduction.
Voices, viola, sound design and synthesizers remain in motion, open to friction and transformation, in a rebellious, bare space, where error and chaotic tension become part of the process towards a deeper understanding.
